Sad news

One of our chickens, Amelia, has recently become very tired. She is sleeping all day and holding her wings at odd angles. She looks like she is in a lot of pain. Most likely we are going to have to put her out of her misery, in other words, put her down. It is very sad.

Friends of the chickens

A few days ago the chickens got some feathered visitors. Some flamingos stopped by on their way south. We didn't get any pictures of the chickens and flamingos, but it would have been great if we had!

Charles Dickens

Charles is one of our wierder chickens and often likes to hog the camera. Here are some photos of her: Charles moves very fast. She is one who will elude capture!

Pearl is funny sometimes when she poses for the camera! That is obvious in this picture! Pearl is named after a famous knitter, Stephanie Pearl Mcphee. Mom named her, as she loves knitting. Pearl is an awesome chicken and my 2nd favorite (1st favorite is Charles).

J.K.

J.K. is one of our most photogenic chickens. She can be identified by her hooked beak and jowls. J.K. lays blue eggs.
