Exclusive interview with Charles

Today is a great day in the history of chickens film making! We got our first interview with a chicken! Charles was pleased to donate some of the chicken ideas on many matters. A special thank you to our filming staff: Professor Pebble, Lena, and Col. Cookie. (They chose their internet names!) Enjoy, and remember it was only our first interview!
Thanks for watching!!!

Eggciting news!

We got two eggs today! The flock have been very lax on laying recently, but today we got two eggs!!! This is very amazing news, since it was Summer last time they layed more than one. I hope you are all having a good time doing whatever you are doing!

Wake up call

You might have already known that Richie is head in charge of waking up all humans on our little farm. Here is a video behind the scenes of how he does the difficult call. He is hoping to put a tutorial on his own blog, for those who are interested in learning how to crow.

Oh, if you noticed the sound at the end of the move, I had the hiccups!

Charles up to his usual tricks

This is a strange and short video of my favorite chicken. If you are regular readers, you will know that she is Charles Dickens.

Chicken Skillz

\

I have never posted a video before, but if this one works then there are many other hilarius ones I can post in future! Enjoy!

Richie

Richie is talking to you. Can you hear him?

That's right, I'm looking at you!

Weekend

It is very surprising that I haven't blogged since last weekend, but I suppose lots has been going on. School is very busy, with many more papers and homework than last year. Sadly, I can't take any pictures of the chickens because the camera is gone for the weekend. My blog rival more-yarn-please.blogspot.com will be taking many pictures this weekend and will probably get way ahead of me in posting. I will leave you with a picture of some familiar faces (a while ago)!

Sweet stuff

Never give chickens sugar, even if it looks as good as this. Come to think of it, you probably would just eat it, and not worry about giving it to chickens. That is what I would do. I think that is beside the point, however. The point being, not to give chickens sugar.
Yummmmmm....

Chickens on holiday

Lately the chickens have been a little lax on laying. So far this month they have laid half a dozen eggs. We are hoping this is due to molting season, but can not be sure. In the meantime, our stomachs are growling with egg lust!
Something is missing!

Charles: My favorite chicken

Charles is a Delaware hen that looks almost exactly like her sister Jasper. She has always been one of my favorites because of her curious nature. Her personality makes it easeir to teach her tricks. I also like her expressions. In this picture my sisteris holding her up so you can see one of her cuter positions.

Shadow at school

School has started and got me thinking(I guess that is good!)! I have not heard of any schools for cats except obedience school. I think Shadow would be a great student.

For one thing, she would always participate in discussions.

She would always be ready for lunch!

Ummm... Can I get down now?
