our new coop setup...

My dad just made some major changes on the coop. We have moved the younger chicks in with the old chicks. Dad has designed a place where the new and old chickens can meet each other without tearing eachother to shreds, which is what happens when you mix flocks.
I will go back to posting daily now, because finals are over and only a couple more days left of school!

Clean Straw welcomes all....

Well, I am proud to display these pictures because they not only show chickens, but that there is clean straw in the background. As a chicken owner, clean straw always makes me happier as some of you might be with freshly mowed grass or new paper. J.K. deciding which piece of feed to peck... What a tough decision. She still hasn't chosen one....
Well, I guess she just wasn't hungry. How do you all like my new header?

Our Immaculate coop!

Do you like my word choice? I thought I would say something other than "Our clean coop". In the picture you can see our tidy walls behind Charles. That job is very long, but worth it. It is always nice when people don't flinch when they walk in! The chickens will sleep well tonight!

Squeaky clean coop!

I was overloaded with homework today, so mom got the difficult job of cleaning the coop. It requires a very special talent. Mom did a pretty good job, with some help from Jed and Charles.

How much cuter can you get?

That, my friends, is a picture of my favorite chicken, Charles. I do realize that I have been rather unfair on including some of our other chickens in the blogs, but what can I say? Charles is just awesome. That about sums it up! Have a great weekend!

Squeaky clean...for a chicken coop, anyway!

Today I cleaned the chicken coop from top to bottom. I scrubbed and washed for a whole hour! I even used Windex on the window! Now I don't have to clean it for another two weeks. Here are some pictures of the chickens enjoying their tidy environment!
